There’s a lot of money to be obtained on DraftKings including a top prize of $25k in the main tournament. DK also has lots of Qualifier competitions available this week, where the last event will pay $50k to 1st if you did qualify to play in it. I will be chasing those as well since we have never had a $50k 1st place prize and I want it. We didn’t have one fight fall away but we still have a 13-fight card. This is a great card to construct your bankroll to get the very first Sunday of NFL so it’s possible to pursue that $1M.
Cash Game play of the week — Zabit Magomedsharipov ($9,400)
Zabit will be super chalky in championship. Everyone who’d Shevchenko within their lineup will change to Zabit and that he will likely be the most owned fighter around the slate. In cash games we don’t really care about ownership as much and I will be starting my money team with Zabit. I think he is the simplest triumph on the card plus he has the maximum ceiling too. I believe if you want to get sneaky and not utilize Zabit, the GPPs would be the place to do this. Lock him in cash and take the win. Then you only need to find about 3 additional wins and you ought to possess a winning cash group.
GPP play of this week — Alex White ($8,600)
I think Jim Miller is close to the finish of his career and I am presuming this will be the final time we see him at the UFC. I think he is going to be handed his 5th loss in a row and I’m guessing it is going to be via knockout. I think Alex White is going to be too strong and quick for Jim Miller at this stage in his career and I think he is going to have the ability to keep this fight on the toes. With everyone paying for Zabit in GPPs, Alex White and some other mid-range favorites might be a good way to go to make your lineups more contrarian and attempt to find 1st place in a GPP that way. I really do like White a fantastic bit in this fight and I think he’s 100+ point potential at a $8.6additional salary. He is my GPP drama of the week.
Underdog play of this week — Diego Sanchez ($7,300)
Diego Sanchez is my underdog play of the week because I do not think Craig White is any good. Sanchez may be completely taken, and if that is the case he could get KO’d early. But I really don’t think Craig White should be -200 against some other UFC fighter. Diego is economical enough where it allows you to find a number of the higher favorites you enjoy in your lineup, and I believe he will get a choice win here. He will be my choice to win, however it is not a confident pick and I think he makes for a better GPP play than cash punt.
Fade of the week — Aljamain Sterling ($8,500)
I’m excited about seeing this battle and I will be picking Aljo to get the win . My issue is that I don’t think he is quite likely to score highly, and maybe not even 10x his salary. I think a whole lot of this struggle will happen on the toes and Aljo does not throw in a high enough pace to score well in a match that is spectacular. He will need to get this battle to the ground a few times and stand up some advance points for him to score highly. I don’t see this occurring. I believe this is going to be a very close fight and I would rather just cover some of the fighters over Sterling. I believe we’d be looking at a score about 70-75 DK points with an Aljo choice win here.
